Your use of Promote is also covered by:

• the DIYLens Terms of Use, which apply to everything you do on DIYLens;
• the DIYLens Advertising Policy and Community Guidelines, which every promoted post must follow;
• the Promote Payment Terms below; and
• the DIYLens Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data.

2.1 You can only promote posts you published yourself on DIYLens, up to 10 posts in one order. You are responsible for your Promoted Content, including what it says or shows, any claims about your products or services, any website you link to, and any offer, giveaway or contest it mentions. This applies even when DIYLens tools help you choose an audience or estimate results.

2.2 Your Promoted Content must follow the Community Guidelines, the Advertising Policy and Nigerian advertising law, including the rules of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria where they apply to you.

2.3 You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, everything in your Promoted Content — including music, sounds, images, logos and people shown in it.

2.4 We may add labels or notices to Promoted Content where the law requires it or where we think it's needed (for example for sensitive topics).

2.5 We may refuse, pause or stop Promoted Content that breaks these Promote Terms or any policy they include, or that is reported and found to break them. If we stop a promotion for this reason, any unspent budget is returned to your ad wallet as described in the Payment Terms, unless the promotion was part of fraud or abuse.

2.6 DIYLens Verified Plus and Pro members can add a website button to promoted posts. The website must work, be safe, and match what the post promotes.

3.1 When you place an order you choose your posts, a goal (reach more people, get more interactions, or grow your following), who should see it, your budget and how long it runs — or a daily budget that runs until you pause it. The budget for one order must be between ₦800 and ₦1,300,000.

3.2 Promote is priced per 1,000 promoted views. The number of promoted views your budget buys is shown before you pay. A promoted view is counted once per person per post when your post is shown to them as Promoted Content and at least 60% of it stays on screen for a second. People who aren't logged in count too, once per browser. We don't count your own views, automated traffic or bots, and we limit how many logged-out views from the same network count.

3.3 We use reasonable efforts to show your posts to the audience you chose and to favour your goal. The likes, comments, followers, profile visits and other results shown before you pay are estimates. We don't guarantee how many people will see, like, follow or contact you, when they will, or that every view comes from a person you would consider your ideal customer.

3.4 We don't make any promise about where on DIYLens your posts appear, what content they appear next to, or that they won't appear near similar posts from others.

3.5 You can pause, resume or stop a promotion at any time from Promote. Results from people who saw your promotion — reach, likes, comments, new followers, profile visits, website clicks and messages — are shown on the order's details page.

4.0 Every promotion is reviewed by DIYLens before it goes live, usually within a few hours of payment. Its run time starts when it's approved. If we don't approve it, we tell you why and return the full amount you paid, VAT included, to your ad wallet. You can also cancel a promotion while it's in review for a full refund to your ad wallet.

4.1 A promotion ends when it has delivered the promoted views you paid for, when its time runs out, or when you or we stop it.

4.2 When a promotion ends before delivering everything you paid for, the unspent part of the budget — and the VAT you paid on that part — goes back to your ad wallet automatically. You are only charged for views that were delivered.

4.3 Paused promotions don't deliver or spend while paused.

We may update Promote or these Promote Terms. If a change is significant we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect, and the date at the top will change. Orders already running keep the terms that applied when you paid, unless the law requires otherwise. If you keep using Promote after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.

Promote is provided as is. To the extent Nigerian law allows, DIYLens is not responsible for lost profits or indirect losses from a promotion, and our total responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act or other law that can't be excluded.

These Promote Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If there's a problem, contact us first and we'll try to resolve it with you informally. Any dispute that can't be resolved that way will be decided by the courts of Nigeria.

Promote is priced in Nigerian Naira (NGN). Value Added Tax at 7.5% is added to your budget and shown as a separate line before you pay. The total you see on the Pay button is the total you are charged. If you pay with a card issued outside Nigeria, your bank may convert the amount and charge its own fees.

You can pay with a debit or credit card, bank transfer or USSD through our payment provider Flutterwave, or from your ad wallet. DIYLens doesn't store your full card details; they are handled by Flutterwave. Your promotion starts once your payment is confirmed.

You are responsible for the payment, including any charges from your bank or card issuer.

Your ad wallet holds prepaid credit for Promote. You can add funds to it, and it receives the unspent budget returned from promotions. Ad wallet credit can only be used to pay for Promote on DIYLens. It isn't a bank account, doesn't earn interest, and can't be sent to other people or used to pay sellers, creators or anyone else.

Promotions with a daily budget are paid from your ad wallet each day they run. If your wallet doesn't have enough for the next day, the promotion pauses until you add funds.

You can see your balance, every amount added and spent, and your receipts in Promote → Payment.

If you want back money you added to your ad wallet and haven't used, contact Billing support. We may ask you to confirm your identity and the payment you made. Approved refunds are paid to the original payment method, normally within 14 business days. Credit that came from unspent promotion budget is refunded the same way. We can't refund amounts already spent on delivered views.

A receipt is available for every card, bank or USSD payment in Promote → Payment. If you think you've been charged incorrectly, tell Billing support within 30 days of the charge and we'll look into it. Please contact us before starting a chargeback with your bank so we can fix the problem quickly.

If a payment fails, is reversed or is found to be unauthorised, we may stop the related promotion and remove any credit added by that payment from your ad wallet. We may suspend Promote for accounts involved in fraud or abuse.
