Videos, photo posts, stories, profile photos, comments with photos and photos sent in messages are checked automatically before anyone else can see them. Anything that appears to contain nudity or sexual content, graphic violence, weapons or other adult-only content is not posted, and you're told why.
If the check can't run (for example, our checking service is down), nothing is published until it can. If you think a check got it wrong, contact support and a person will review it.
The audio in uploaded videos is checked against a music recognition service. When it recognises a released song, the video can still be posted: the song gets its own sound page credited to the artist, with the album cover and links to listen on Spotify and YouTube Music, and every video using it is listed there. Rights holders can ask for content to be removed under our Intellectual Property Policy.
Posts, DIYs, comments, accounts, listings and ads can all be reported from their ⋯ menu. Reports go to our moderation team.
You can delete comments on your own posts, and report or block the people who wrote them.
If your content was removed and you think it shouldn't have been, contact support. An admin reviews the original decision and records the outcome.

Read the guidelines →Your For You feed is ranked from what you watch, like, save and follow, the interests you picked when you joined, and how recent and popular posts are. The people you mark as favourites come first. You can change your interests and tell us you're not interested in a post at any time, and the Following feed shows only the accounts you follow, newest first.
Promoted posts and ads are always labelled. Health, money and legal answers from DIYLens AI are ad-free zones: no ads are shown next to them. Every ad has to follow our Advertising Policy, and ads can be reported like any other post.
DIYLens doesn't hold anyone's money for marketplace sales or hired work. Buyers, sellers and pros agree on price and payment between themselves in messages. Report anyone who asks you to pay in a way that feels wrong.
How we respond to requests from law enforcement and government agencies is set out in our Law Enforcement Guidelines.
